The Grab Hook with Latch is designed for compatible Portable Winch rigging systems and can be used with choker chains or rope chokers. Its latch helps prevent the connected choker from slipping out when the rope is not under tension.
Useful for Log Skidding
Pair the grab hook with compatible chokers and other rigging components for forestry, log skidding, firewood recovery, and property maintenance. It can also be attached to compatible rope using an appropriate knot or termination method.
Build a Complete Rigging System
The grab hook works with other Portable Winch accessories such as skidding cones, polyester slings, pulleys, and winch rope. Always select components based on the load and working load limit of the complete system.
Important: Inspect the hook and latch before each use. Follow approved rigging practices and never exceed rated capacities.

Grab Hook with Latch for compatible Portable Winch chokers and pulling ropes. The latch helps retain the choker when tension is released, making it useful for log skidding and forestry rigging.
The PCA-1282 is designed to be used with our choker chain PCA-1295 or our rope choker PCA-1372. Its latch prevents the chokers from slipping out of the hook when there is no tension on the rope.
Attach it to the end of the rope using the bowline knot, which can easily be undone after use and which will keep up to 70% of the rope’s capacity!
